A DETAILED ITINERARY FOR A DAY TOUR TO MATERUNI

8:00 AM – Pick-up from Moshi / Arusha

• Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Moshi (or Arusha for an additional transfer fee).

• Enjoy a scenic drive towards Materuni Village, located on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.

9:00 AM – Arrival at Materuni Village & Cultural Welcome

• Upon arrival, meet the Chagga community and learn about their traditions.

• Receive a short briefing on the day's activities.

 9:30 AM – Guided Hike to Materuni Waterfalls

• Start a 45-minute to 1-hour guided hike through banana plantations, lush rainforests, and coffee farms.

• Your guide will share insights about the local flora, fauna, and Chagga culture along the way.

• Arrive at the breathtaking Materuni Waterfall, where you can relax, take photos, and swim in the refreshing natural pool (optional; bring swimwear).

 11:30 AM – Hike Back & Coffee Tour Experience

• Walk back to the village and visit a local coffee farm.

• Engage in a hands-on coffee-making experience, from picking, processing, roasting, and grinding the beans.

• Enjoy a cup of freshly brewed organic Chagga coffee.

1:00 PM – Traditional Hot Chagga Lunch

• Relish a delicious Chagga-style lunch featuring:

   o Rice, banana stew, or Ugali (Tanzanian staple)

3:30 PM – Departure to Moshi / Arusha
